We're not here to waste your time trying to explain to you why we love this band AND playing their music, let alone attempt to explain the band itself. We love D. Boon, Mike Watt and George Hurley for all of it. If you want to know about the Minutemen we suggest you let them tell the tale themselves, as their friendship and musical camaraderie ran deeper than the Mariana Trench.  Go buy or rent "We Jam Econo-The Story of the Minutemen", the incredible documentary feature on the band made by two die-hards like us named Tim Irwin and Keith Schieron. If you're fond of the print medium run out and pick up "Our Band Could Be Your Life-Scenes from the American Indie Underground" by Michael Azerrad, an incredibly insightful book on many of the bands (including the minutemen) that helped create indie rock as some of us old-timers knew it. Now, in the words of Mike Watt, "GO START YOUR OWN BAND!!!"
